Gut Feeling is a cover band specializing in rock and pop hits from the '70s, '80s and '90s. Expect high-energy performances of classic favorites as well as less-covered hits that get everyone singing and dancing!

We’re based in Des Moines, Iowa, and regularly perform in the surrounding area.

We play at a variety of events, including private parties, corporate functions, weddings, festivals and live music venues. If you’re looking for a great band to liven up your event, we’re here for you!

While we’re based in Des Moines, we’re happy to travel within Iowa and surrounding states. Additional travel costs may apply for events outside the Des Moines area.

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak event seasons. Ideally, reach out at least 2–3 months in advance to secure your date. However, we are always willing to check our calendars to see if we can play at your event — it’s never too early or too late to see if we can accommodate!

Setlists include iconic rock and pop songs from the final decades of the 20th century. They feature crowd-pleasing hits from bands like The Cars, Stevie Nicks, AC/DC and more, as well as those less-covered hits that we all love but don’t hear performed as often. Let us know if you’d like to see a sample setlist!

Our typical performance is about three hours long, including breaks. However, we can adjust the length to fit your event needs.

We have an expansive list of songs available for your party. Unfortunately, we don’t take requests on the night of the event. However, if there are specific songs you’d like to hear, please let us know when booking, and we’ll determine if we can add them for your show! Additional fees may apply.

Gut Feeling travels with all the equipment needed to provide our own sound. We can also work with local sound companies if sound is already being provided at your event.

Absolutely! We’re experienced in outdoor performances and can adapt to most setups. We ask that outdoors events have adequate protection from the elements and a plan to accommodate weather changes.
